Today was a very emotional day for my family. We all gathered at the hospital in anticipation for baby Wesley to be born. I woke up this morning to a phone call from my dad with the good news. "Auntie Steph! Its time!" I rushed out of bed, showered, grabbed starbucks (duh!!!) and of course grabbed my camera as I headed to the hospital. Im typically not too good with hospitals. Needles, blood, even hospital beds sometimes just make me want to keel over and sleep with a horrible stomach ache! I HATE the thought of being sick or even someone else being sick.... BUT, something about the delivery room has a calming effect. Maybe its all the sweet doctors and nurses... or maybe its just the thought of a tiny baby coming into this world. I did quite well watching it all take place! Christy and Michael were so gracious enough to allow me into the room to snap a few photos. I was THRILLED to get to watch it all unfold. If you ever need a form of birth control, just watch someone giving birth. OUCH!... but It was AWESOME and the outcome is such a gift. Christy was quite the trooper. She looked gorgeous the entire time. Can I look like that please?
Thank you to everyone that prayed for Wes and the fam. All your comments were sweet and I OBVIOUSLY am a proud auntie. Today was a beautiful reminder of God's divine creation. I am constantly blown away by how unique and complex we are created. The way our heart pumps blood through our body, the way our brain processes information and how we have an innate understanding of love. Its incredible how we all are designed and I am amazed by God's creation.
He definitely wanted us to know he was unhappy to be away from his warm little bubble.
The guys admiring the little man.
Steve and I stole him away for a while to admire his little face.
Love this.
